Meenakshi Hospital Thanjavur has orgnaised “MHT ACE 2025 Advanced Airway Management”, a national-level one-day conference on anaesthesia, yesterday, attracting the participation of over a hundred anaesthesiologists, emergency physicians and post graduate students from across the country. The conference covered several advanced airway management skills such as flexible endoscope, videolaryngoscope, supraglottic airway, front of neck access and jet ventilation.
The conference was addressed by Dr. V. Praveen, Deputy Medical Superintendent and senior anaesthesiologists: Dr Arimanickam and Dr Shanmugavalli - Meenakshi Hospital Thanjavur, Dr. Omprakash – JIPMER Karaikal, Dr Murali Mahesh - Kauvery Hospital Alwarepet Chennai, Dr Suresh - Billroth Hospital Chennai, Dr Ramkumar Dhanasekaran – A4 Hospitals and Fertility Centre Chennai.
In his comments Dr. G. Arimanickam, Senior Consultant – Anesthesiology, Meenakshi Hospital Thanjavur, said, “This conference was designed to provide participants with state-of-the-art information and hands-on experience that ensure effective and appropriate management of airway emergencies. Real life simulation and training focused on important nontechnical skills essential for patient safety. It was the highlight. The participants were mesmerised by the teachings from experienced faculties and left with lessons that would guide them for lifetime.”
