The initiative, aimed at promoting preventive healthcare and wellness among Star Health’s agents and their family members, benefited over 500 participants through a day-long health and wellness programme.

The event was attended by the Hon’ble Mayor of Coimbatore Ranganayaki Ramachandran, and was led by  Sriram Ragunandhanan, Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), Star Health Insurance, C. Balajibabu, Business Head – EVP, Star Health Insurance.

The Mayor inaugurated the camp by lighting the ceremonial lamp and commended Star Health’s initiative, which offered comprehensive medical tests, covering a wide range of diagnostic and specialist consultations.

Hon’ble Mayor of Coimbatore Ranganayaki Ramachandran, said, “It is encouraging to see organisations like Star Health Insurance come forward to support the well-being of the community. This medical camp is a meaningful initiative that reminds us that health awareness must begin at home, within our workplaces, and in our communities. Such efforts help families take preventive care seriously and ensure that health check-ups become an integral part of everyday life, rather than an afterthought. I appreciate Star Health’s approach of combining service with awareness, to the wider public. When health becomes a shared priority, it strengthens both families and communities.”

Star Health Insurance CHRO Sriram Ragunandhanan said, “Our strength lies in the trust and relationships built by our agents. Taking care of their health and that of their families is an extension of the values we stand for. Our agents are an integral part of the Star Health family and play a pivotal role in taking quality health insurance to every corner of the country. They are at the heart of our mission. We want them and their families to experience the same focus on wellness that we advocate for our customers. As we continue to strengthen our network, our focus remains on building a culture that values health, empathy, and awareness. This medical camp reflects our broader effort to promote preventive care and well-being within the Star Health ecosystem. We believe that a healthy and aware workforce can serve customers with greater energy, compassion, and purpose.”

The medical camp saw strong participation from agents and their families across Coimbatore and nearby areas. It brought together a range of health screening and wellness services in a simple, organized format. Participants underwent diagnostic tests, eye and dental check-ups, and several preventive screenings such as blood sugar, cholesterol, ECG, HbA1C, audiometry, biothesiometry, lung function, and bone density assessments. Specialists from general medicine, orthopaedics, gynaecology, ophthalmology, dentistry, physiotherapy, and nutrition offered one-on-one consultations.

The camp offered an opportunity for participants to understand their health better and take small, practical steps toward a healthier lifestyle. With the festive season approaching, it also reminded families to give attention to their well-being amid celebrations. As Diwali draws near, a festival that symbolises renewal and togetherness, the company encouraged everyone to make preventive care part of their celebrations and to welcome the season with good health and happiness.
