Reinforcing its leadership in India’s electric mobility movement, TATA.ev, the country’s largest four-wheeler EV manufacturer, has inaugurated 14 new TATA.ev MegaChargers across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, developed in partnership with Voltran. These are completely manned EV public charging stations – first of their kind in India – designed to offer unmatched convenience, reliability, and service assurance to EV users.
This latest milestone takes the TATA.ev MegaCharger network to over 70 operational sites nationwide, as the company continues to expand the country’s charging infrastructure under its ‘Open Collaboration 2.0’ framework. Through this initiative, TATA.ev is actively partnering with Charge Point Operators (CPOs) to establish high-speed charging corridors across key intercity routes and urban hotspots. The company’s long-term goal is to introduce over 400,000 charging points – including 500 TATA.ev MegaChargers– by 2027, enabling truly seamless long-distance EV travel in India.
TATA.ev MegaChargers represent a significant leap forward in India’s electric mobility ecosystem, being the first-of-its-kind 24/7 completely manned electric charging stations. Each station is equipped with a minimum of 120 kW ultra-fast chargers strategically located along prominent city routes and highways to ensure seamless access for EV users. TATA.ev customers will enjoy up to 25% discount on the charging tariff, making sustainable travel even more affordable. These handpicked locations are designed for high reliability and comfort, featuring convenient amenities such as air-conditioned lounges and hygienic washrooms. With a minimum of 4 charging bays and up to 12 bays at select sites, TATA.ev MegaChargers ensure greater availability and reduced waiting times for every EV user.
