Velalar College of Engineering and Technology (Autonomous), Erode, in association with CII Erode Excell and Erode Excell Pathippagam, successfully organized the “Vidya Ratna – Best Teacher Award 2025” ceremony on November 23, 2025, at the Kasturiba Auditorium. The purpose of this event was to honor outstanding teachers who have made remarkable contributions to the field of education and to society at large.
The program commenced with a welcome address by Jc. HGF. A. C. Muruganantham, CEO of Erode Excell Pathippagam. A highlight of the event was the release of the Excell Yellow Pages book. In his presidential address, Mr. S. T. Chandrasekar, Secretary and Correspondent of Velalar Educational Trust, praised the vital role teachers play in nation‑building.
The distinguished chief guest, Hon’ble Justice P. Sathasivam, former Chief Justice of India and former Governor of Kerala, delivered an inspiring speech emphasizing the importance of education rooted in dedication, ethics, and moral values. A total of 340 eminent teachers selected from various parts of Tamil Nadu were honored with the “Best Teacher Award 2025,” making the event truly memorable.
Trust member Mr. M. Yuvaraja and VCET Principal Dr. M. Jayaraman appreciated the awardees for their commitment, educational service, and social contributions in their special addresses. Heads of institutions and award‑winning teachers shared their educational journeys and expressed gratitude for receiving this prestigious recognition.
The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. N. Jeyasanthi, Coordinator of the VCET Women Development Cell. The event was graced by Mr. S. T. Chandrasekar, Secretary and Correspondent of Velalar Educational Trust, along with trust members Mr. C. Balasubramaniam and Mr. M. Yuvaraja. The Principal, Dean, Controller of Examinations, Administrative Manager, Heads of Departments, faculty members, and staff of VCET also participated, adding to the grandeur of the occasion.
