Seeking the divine blessings of Lord Aapatsahaya Vilvalingeswarar, the deity worshipped for the removal of all sins, the grand "Maha Rudra Maha Mangala Vaibhavam" was successfully conducted on Sunday, December 21, 2025. The event took place at the Sri Kothandaramaswamy Temple in Ram Nagar, Coimbatore, drawing a large gathering of devotees from across the Kongu region.
The sacred ceremonies were organized for Loka Kshema (universal peace and welfare) on this auspicious day of the Margazhi month, coinciding with the Shukla Paksha Dwitiya Thithi and Poorvashada Nakshatra.
The spiritual proceedings commenced early in the morning at 6:30 AM with the Vigneshwara Puja and Maha Sankalpam, followed by the Mahanyasa Japam and Rudra Avahanam at 7:30 AM. By 9:00 AM, the air was filled with the resonance of the Sri Rudra Japam, followed by the elaborate Ekadasa Dravya Rudrabhishekam.
The mid-morning rituals included a sacred Go Puja at 10:00 AM, leading into the powerful Sri Rudra Homam at 11:00 AM. The high point of the afternoon featured the Vasordhara at 12:00 PM and a Dampathi Puja shortly after. The grand event concluded at 12:30 PM with the Kalasabhishekam and Maha Deeparadhana, after which holy Prasadam was distributed to all participants.
The event was conducted under the leadership of N.V. Nagasubramaniam, President of the temple trust, The secretary of the temple trust , Vishwanathan, along with the Board of Trustees of Sri Kothandaramaswamy Devasthanam. The Ram Nagar Thiruppavai Thiruvembavai Committee served as the primary sponsors (Ubhayadharar) for this magnificent spiritual gathering.
