Sri Raghavendra Sapthaha Mahotsava to Be Held in Coimbatore from Feb 18–24

The 33rd Sri Raghavendra Sapthaha Mahotsava, a revered annual spiritual observance dedicated to Parama Poojya Shri Shri Raghavendra Guru Sarvabhouma, will be celebrated in Coimbatore from February 18 to February 24, 2026.


The week-long Mahotsava will be held at Sri Ayyappan Puja Sangham, Sathyamurthy Road, Ramnagar, Coimbatore. The celebrations commemorate the Pattabhishekam and Janma Dinotsavam of Sri Raghavendra Swamiji, a distinguished saint of the sacred Madhwa lineage established by Shri Madhwacharya. The observance traditionally takes place during the auspicious Phalguna Masa.


The Mahotsava is being jointly organised by Sri Raghavendra Sapthaha Karyacharana Samiti, Mantralayam, and Sri Raghavendra Sapthaha Seva Sangha, Coimbatore, with Sri Ayyappan Puja Sangham serving as the host venue.


Daily religious services at the Gururaja Sannidhanam will include Ashtothara Parayana with Ksheerabhisheka at 7.30 am, Panchamruta Abhisheka at 8 am, Padapooja and Kanakabhisheka along with Laksha Pushparchane and Mahamangalarathi at 10.30 am, and evening Deepotsava, Swasthivachana and Mahaneerajana at 7 pm.


The daily spiritual programmes during the Sapthaha will feature Suprabhata, Pratah Smarane and Vedic recitations from 6 am to 7.30 am by Vidwan K. Appannacharya and Dr. J. Sadananda Shastry of Anantapuram, followed by Taratamya Bhajane and Parayana from 7.30 am to 9 am. Pravachanas will be delivered between 9 am and 9.30 am by scholars associated with Palimaru Mutt, Udupi.


The inaugural ceremony of the Mahotsava will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, from 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm. The event will be graced by the divine presence of Paramapujya Sri Sri 1008 Sri Subudhendra Theertha Sripadangalavaru, Peetadhipathi of Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt, Mantralayam, Paramapujya Sri Sri 1008 Sri Vidyadheesha Theertha Sripadangalavaru, Peetadhipathi of Sri Palimaru Mutt, Udupi, and Paramapujya Sri Sri 1008 Sri Vidyarajeshwara Theertha Sripadangalavaru, Junior Peetadhipathi of Sri Palimaru Mutt, Udupi.


N. Sundaravadivelu, Chairman of Sri Raghavendra Sapthaha Seva Sangha, Coimbatore, along with Mantralayesha Padasakta Archaka Sri Parimalacharya of Sri Raghavendra Sapthaha Karyacharana Samiti, Mantralayam, has invited devotees and the general public to participate in the sacred Mahotsava and seek the blessings of Sri Raghavendra Guru Sarvabhouma.
