Bajaj General Insurance Limited has unveiled NRInsure, a new add-on to its flagship My Health Care Plan (MHCP), offering a 35% discount on the base premium for Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs). The initiative is designed to help Indians living abroad maintain affordable and continuous health insurance coverage in India.
NRIs and OCIs often retain health insurance policies in India as part of their long-term financial and healthcare planning, particularly with an eye on eventual relocation or extended visits. However, paying standard domestic premiums while residing overseas has remained a concern. NRInsure directly addresses this gap by enabling eligible customers to purchase a new MHCP policy at a significantly reduced premium upon declaration of their NRI/OCI status and submission of necessary documentation.
The add-on is available at the time of buying a new policy and does not alter the core structure of the My Health Care Plan. All existing features, benefits, and waiting periods under the base policy continue unchanged, ensuring seamless and comprehensive coverage.
