The inauguration of a free tailoring training class for women was held at Gopal Building on R.S. Main Road, Pasur, under the auspices of the Mother Teresa Forum, Erode District Branch. The event was organized in collaboration with the Mother Teresa Charitable Trust.
District President Kanagarajan presided over the function, with General Secretary Jacob and Vice Presidents Poovai Rasan, Stalin, Bhaskar Raj, Vincent, and Balasandar in attendance. The training program was officially inaugurated by Trust Co-Founder and Trustee Xavier, who cut the ribbon. Former MLA Palanichamy unveiled the name board and delivered a congratulatory address.
Several dignitaries, including Arima Anbalagan (Owner of Balamurugan Tex), State Vice President of the Forum Sivajinanthan, Balachandar, Renald George, and Sockalingam, graced the occasion. A large number of women from the local community enthusiastically gathered to enroll in the training.
As part of the welfare initiative, dhotis and shirts were distributed to men, while sarees were given to women. The free tailoring class, aimed at improving women’s livelihood opportunities, has received overwhelming appreciation from the community.
