PhonePe has introduced an AI-powered natural language search feature, enabling users to navigate, pay, and track transaction insights using simple text or voice commands. Built using Microsoft Foundry, the feature allows intent-based routing, guiding users directly to their desired action, such as paying a contact or checking gold prices, without navigating through multiple menus.
Rahul Chari, Founder, Whole-time Director & CTO of PhonePe, said, “Our vision is to make payments accessible to every Indian, and AI enables us to build an intelligent interface that anticipates what users need before they even go looking for it. Through our collaboration with Microsoft, we aim to simplify payments further by understanding intent, not just inputs.”
