Goa Tourism Department garnered accolades at the Travel & Tourism Fair (TTF) Chennai 2026, held from March 20 to 22, by winning the Special Award for New Initiative. The honour recognised the pavilion’s creative concept, interactive design, and engaging storytelling, which set it apart at one of India’s premier travel trade platforms.
The Goa pavilion attracted widespread attention from visitors, tour operators, and industry stakeholders, offering an immersive journey through the state’s diverse tourism offerings. Beyond its famed beaches, the exhibit spotlighted Goa’s rich cultural heritage, vibrant hinterland, eco-tourism initiatives, and emerging travel experiences, positioning it as an all-season destination.
Rohan A. Khaunte, Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, Government of Goa, said the recognition underscores the state’s commitment to innovation and evolving its tourism narrative. He noted that Goa continues to focus on showcasing sustainable, experience-driven travel that appeals to modern audiences.
Kedar Naik, Director of Tourism, emphasised that TTF Chennai provided an important platform to connect with stakeholders from southern India. He added that the enthusiastic response reflects a growing demand for unique and immersive travel opportunities.
The event also enabled Goa Tourism to strengthen ties within the domestic travel trade and explore new collaborations. With a continued focus on innovation and outreach, Goa aims to enhance its presence in key markets and inspire travellers to discover its distinctive offerings beyond the coastline.
