The Department of Posts released a Special Postal Cover yesterday (24.06.2026) at the Bishop Heber College campus in Tiruchirappalli to mark the institution’s Diamond Jubilee. This Special Cover honours sixty years of distinguished service by Bishop Heber College in higher education and recognises its sustained contributions to academic excellence, research, social commitment, and the holistic development of students.
The cover was formally released by G. Natarajan, Postmaster General, Central Region – Tamil Nadu Circle, Tiruchirappalli. It was received by Shri K. Radha Krishnan, Regional Joint Director of Collegiate Education, Tiruchirappalli Region.
The release ceremony was held in the presence of Rt. Rev. Dr. S. Samuel Rajadurai, Bishop & Chairman, Bishop Heber College and Bishop, CSI Tiruchirappalli–Thanjavur Diocese; R. Vasanthi Annammal, President, Women’s Fellowship, CSI TTD; and Dr. P. Wilson, Principal & Secretary, Madras Christian College (Autonomous), Chennai, along with other dignitaries. Faculty, students, alumni, and administrative staff of Bishop Heber College, officers and officials from the Department of Posts, philatelists, and members of the public attended the event in large numbers. The Special Cover stands as a lasting tribute to the college’s six-decade journey and celebrates its continued commitment to serving society through quality education.
