Flipkart Group and Meta Partner to Boost Creator-Led Commerce in India

Flipkart Group, through Flipkart Group, has partnered with Meta to expand creator-led commerce in India via Flipkart and Myntra. The integration enables creators to directly tag products from Flipkart and Myntra in Facebook posts and Reels, with Instagram rollout planned next. This creates a seamless, one-tap shopping journey from content discovery to purchase.


The partnership strengthens India’s fast-growing creator economy by allowing micro and nano creators to earn commissions on sales driven through their content, turning influence into income. It also helps brands and sellers reach high-intent audiences through contextual, culturally relevant content rather than traditional advertising. Flipkart has already been building this ecosystem through initiatives like Creatorhood and Affluencer.


The move reflects a broader shift in India’s digital commerce from search-led to discovery-led shopping, especially among Gen Z users, who account for nearly 40%–45% of e-retail shoppers. According to Flipkart and Bain & Company, influencer-led discovery is increasingly shaping purchase decisions across categories. The partnership aims to unify social discovery on Meta platforms with Flipkart Group’s marketplace infrastructure to drive scalable creator commerce across India.
