In a remarkable display of academic excellence, students from Madurai have brought laurels to the city with their outstanding performance in the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) examinations for the academic year 2025–26. This year’s SOF Olympiad saw participation from millions of students across 70 countries, including over 27,000 students from Madurai.
Among the top performers, Aadhithan M A (Class 1) from Sairam Vidyalaya in the International Computer Science Olympiad (ICSO), Adhya Rajaawatt (Class 2) from Delhi World Public School in the International Computer Science Olympiad (ICSO), and Mohamed Azad Ghil M (Class 2) from Sri Aurobindo Mira Universal School in the International English Olympiad (IEO) secured Rank 1 and will be awarded Gold Medals along with Certificates of Outstanding Performance.
