The inauguration ceremony for the commencement of first-year classes at Nandha Arts and Science College, Erode, was held with great enthusiasm. The event was inaugurated by S. Bhanumathi Shanmugan, a member of the Sri Nandha Educational Trust, who lit the traditional ceremonial lamp.

Addressing the gathering, V. Shanmugan, Chairman of the Sri Nandha Educational Trust, said that Nandha Arts and Science College has been a pioneer in providing career-oriented training through its Placement and Training Cell, enabling students to make the best use of employment opportunities. He also highlighted the educational scholarships offered for students' welfare and the free coaching classes conducted every year by experienced faculty for competitive examinations such as TNPSC, Banking, and UPSC Civil Services.

He further noted that the college's specialised placement training has enabled students to secure employment in leading multinational companies. He proudly stated that 87% of the students received placement offers during the previous academic year, reflecting the institution's strong focus on career development.

Encouraging the students, he advised them to understand the challenges of their formative years, remain responsible towards their parents and teachers, and become trustworthy individuals. Such values, he said, would help them achieve success and progress in life.

Former Principal of Nandha Arts and Science College, Dr. R. Kuppusamy, attended the event as the chief guest and delivered the keynote address. He emphasised that the college gives top priority to discipline and strives to nurture students into responsible individuals who understand their parents' aspirations. He also spoke about the importance of building healthy relationships in the digital era and urged students to use mobile phones wisely by downloading educational, humanitarian, and general knowledge applications that would enrich their lives. He encouraged them to use their natural intelligence as a filter to make informed choices and achieve success.

Earlier, Dr. S. Manoharan, Principal of the college, welcomed the gathering.

The event was also attended by S. Nandakumar Pradeep and S. Thirumoorthy, Joint Managing Trustees of the Sri Nandha Educational Trust, who welcomed and congratulated the newly admitted students and their parents.
