On the occasion of the birthday of Rahul Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition in the Indian Parliament, the Erode City District Congress Committee organized a special puja and abhishekam at the Periya Mariamman Temple in Erode.
The ceremony was led by Second Zone President Vijayabaskar, while Erode City District President Rajesh Rajappa presided over the event.
Several senior leaders took part in the celebration, including former MLA R. M. Palanichamy, former District President and Legislative Council Member E. P. Ravi, and former District President E. R. Rajendran. Zone leaders Gopi, Samrat, and Ashok were also present.
The program further witnessed the participation of State Deputy Leader of the Labour Division Kulam Rajendran, Ward President Manikandan, and a large number of members from the Women’s Wing.
Following the puja, sweets were distributed to devotees and the public, marking a joyous and devotional celebration of Rahul Gandhi’s birthday in Erode.
