A Revenue Settlement (Jamabandi) programme was held recently at the Tiruppathur Taluk Office in Sivaganga district.
The programme was presided over by Sivaganga District Collector P. Aakash. During the event, petitions submitted by residents from revenue villages under the Tiruppathur sub-division, including Thirukoshtiyur, Ilayathangudi, Nachiapuram, and Nerkuppai, were reviewed and resolved.
The petitions covered various requests such as patta transfers, house-site pattas, free house-site pattas, and the issuance of birth, death, community, residence, and income certificates, among others.
A total of 368 petitions were taken up for scrutiny and resolution across the district. These included 104 petitions from Tiruppathur, 20 from Karaikudi, 73 from Devakottai, 53 from Kalaiyarkoil, and 90 from Ilayankudi.
The District Collector handed over official sanction orders and certificates to beneficiaries whose petitions had been successfully resolved.
The programme was attended by Tahsildar Manickavasagam, Revenue Inspector Geetha, and other officials from the Revenue Department.
