Xiaomi Launches REDMI Turbo 5 in India Starting at ₹35,999

Xiaomi India has unveiled the REDMI Turbo 5, introducing the REDMI Turbo series to the Indian market. Designed for power users, the smartphone combines high-performance hardware, a large battery, advanced camera capabilities and premium durability. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chipset, the device supports LPDDR5X Ultra RAM, UFS 4.1 storage, and REDMI’s 3D IceLoop cooling system. It also offers sustained 120fps gaming support across more than 20 popular titles.


A major highlight of the REDMI Turbo 5 is its massive 7,540mAh battery—the largest ever on a REDMI smartphone in India. The device supports 100W HyperCharge, allowing users to charge up to 51% in 30 minutes, while also offering 27W reverse charging. The smartphone features a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary camera with OIS and EIS support, capable of recording 4K 60fps videos. Other features include Turbo Snap burst photography, AI-powered image editing tools, a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with 3,500 nits peak brightness, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos audio, and IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K-rated protection.


The REDMI Turbo 5 runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 3 and comes with features such as Xiaomi HyperConnect, HyperAI, Google Gemini integration and Circle to Search. Xiaomi has also committed to four years of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates. The smartphone will go on sale from June 19 via Mi.com, Amazon.in and Xiaomi retail stores. The 8GB+256GB variant is priced at ₹37,999 and will be available at an effective price of ₹35,999 after a ₹2,000 bank discount, while the 12GB+256GB variant is priced at ₹40,999 with an effective price of ₹38,999.
