The installation ceremony of the new office-bearers of the Dindigul Metro Lions Club for the Lions International 2026–2027 term was held at the Union Club A/C Hall in Dindigul.
At the ceremony, Ln. Dr. S. Sagaya Selvaraj, a recipient of several prestigious awards, assumed office as President. Ln. M. Sundar took charge as Secretary, while Ln. K. Sukumaran assumed office as Treasurer.
The new office-bearers were installed by PMJF Lion R.K. Thangaraj, PDG, District Governor (2008–2009). PMJF Lion Er. A. Shanmuga Sundaram, PDG (1995–96 District Governor) inducted the new members into the club. Service projects were inaugurated by PMJF Lion K. Subburaj, GMT Coordinator.
As part of the event, welfare assistance worth ₹1 lakh was distributed to the underprivileged, including dhotis, sarees, shirts, medical assistance, and educational scholarships.
The function was attended by Dindigul Member of Parliament R. Sachithanantham, Ln. S.G. Natarajan, Managing Director of Theni Anandam, writer Aadhavan Dheetchanya, K. Liaquath Ali, Block Development Officer, Virudhunagar, film director Gypsy Rajkumar, music composer JML. Rajaiah, and several other distinguished guests.
District-level Lions officials, including GLT Coordinator Ln. Er. Nal. Nagarajan, GAT Coordinators PMJF Ln. Er. K.A. Radhakrishnan and MJF Ln. U. Meenakshi Sundaram, GMA Coordinator MJF Ln. K. Navaneethan, GET Coordinator MJF Ln. Er. M. Best Ravi, and District Cabinet Advisor Ln. Dr. K.C. Mohanakandhi, also addressed the gathering and extended their greetings.
Other newly elected office-bearers include Immediate Past President Ln. T. Sukumar, First Vice-President Ln. K. Ravichandran, Second Vice-President Ln. D.S. Balachandar, Club Administrator Ln. R. Nandakumar, Membership Chairperson Ln. D. Selvendran, Service Chairperson Ln. B. Fazlul Haq, PRO Ln. P. Nagaraj, LCIF Coordinator MJF Ln. Er. M. Thandava Krishnan, along with the newly elected Directors.
