The Collector reviewed the construction of a mini indoor sports stadium being built at a cost of ₹3 crore by the Sports Development Department at Chikkayya Government Arts and Science College, Erode, and assessed the progress of the work.
At Villarasampatti and Vettaiperiyapalayam villages in Nasiyanur Panchayat, he inspected drip irrigation systems installed with a subsidy of ₹4.59 lakh for banana, tapioca and sugarcane cultivation under the Agriculture, Horticulture and Hill Crops Departments.
He also visited the Nasiyanur Primary Agricultural Cooperative Credit Society fair price shop to review the distribution of essential commodities and inspected land records and official registers maintained at the Village Administrative Office and the Revenue Inspector's Office. The Collector examined the status of patta transfer applications, land subdivision petitions and other revenue-related cases. He also reviewed the functioning of the automatic rainfall recording station and interacted with officials on the digital monitoring and online transmission of rainfall data.
The Collector inspected the newly constructed Urban Primary Health Centre under the National Health Mission, reviewed infrastructure and treatment facilities, and visited the "Makkalai Thedi Maruthuvam" mobile medical unit to assess healthcare services.
He also inspected the Nasiyanur branch library, interacted with students at Samikoundanpalayam Panchayat Union Primary School, and reviewed the ₹16.50-crore drinking water supply project, directing officials to complete the works at the earliest.
During the tour, he visited a women's self-help group using a solar dryer for value-added agricultural processing, inspected rural nursery and vermicompost units, and reviewed proposed sites for new ponds costing ₹5.95 lakh under the Rural Development Department, instructing officials to expedite implementation.
