The seventh edition of the three-day industrial exhibition WAREMAT – TOPACK – AUTOROBOT – COSLOG – WS-AUTX 2026 commenced yesterday at the Chennai Trade Centre, Nandambakkam, bringing together the latest technologies in warehousing, material handling, logistics, packaging, automation, robotics, cold chain and transportation under one roof.
Organised by Midaas Touch Events & Trade Fairs LLP, the exhibition will continue until August 1, providing a major business platform for manufacturers, MSMEs, logistics providers, technology companies and supply chain professionals from across the country.
Tamil Nadu Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises P. Mathan Raja inaugurated the exhibition as the chief guest. The inaugural ceremony was attended by several senior government officials and industry leaders, including FICCI Co-Chairman Bhupesh Nagarajan, TANSTIA President S. Vasudevan, CIA President Devakumar, MSME Director Dhayalan, and Andhra Chamber of Commerce Vice-President Narasimhan.
Addressing the gathering, the Minister highlighted the significant contribution of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to Tamil Nadu's industrial development, employment generation, exports and economic growth. He said industrial exhibitions such as WAREMAT provide entrepreneurs with an invaluable opportunity to directly interact with technology providers, compare modern machinery and identify suitable solutions for their businesses.
He noted that while digital platforms offer information on industrial technologies, hands-on exposure to machinery and live demonstrations at exhibitions help entrepreneurs make informed investment decisions. Such expos also enable companies to establish new business partnerships, expand market reach, adopt advanced technologies and improve competitiveness.
The Minister further observed that a factory's success depends not only on manufacturing quality products but also on efficient handling of raw materials, storage, packaging and transportation. Modern warehousing and material handling technologies, he said, play a vital role in increasing productivity, reducing costs, minimizing wastage and enhancing operational efficiency.
Congratulating the organisers, the Minister expressed confidence that exhibitions like WAREMAT would strengthen Tamil Nadu's industrial ecosystem, attract investments, generate employment and enhance global competitiveness.

This year's edition features over 100 exhibitors showcasing more than 120 advanced products and solutions, with participation from over 8,000 industry professionals. Live product demonstrations, B2B networking sessions and knowledge-sharing programmes are expected to benefit participants from manufacturing, engineering, FMCG, pharmaceuticals, e-commerce, retail, food processing, packaging, logistics, warehousing and supply chain sectors. The exhibition aims to promote technology adoption, business collaboration and sustainable industrial growth across India.
