Serene Communities by Columbia Pacific, a brand of Lifebridge Group, has expanded its footprint in Karnataka with the launch of Serene Sagara, an independent senior living community at Shyadanahalli in Mysuru. The project is being developed in partnership with Astor, a Mysuru-based real estate developer with an 85-year legacy.
Named after the iconic Krishnaraja Sagara (KRS), the project draws inspiration from Mysuru's planned growth, green surroundings and emphasis on harmonious living. The launch event was attended by Vikram Muthanna, Chairman and Managing Editor of Academy Newspapers Pvt. Ltd., along with Lifebridge Group leaders Rajagopal G. and Dr. Reema Nadig, and Astor managing partners C. R. Hanumanth, Krishna Rao C. H. and Abhinav Sriprakash.
Spread across around 2.02 acres, Serene Sagara is being developed with an investment of more than ₹80 crore. The Ground-plus-eight-floor residential community will feature 112 senior-friendly homes designed to promote independent living.
The residences have been planned to maximise natural light, ventilation and privacy. They incorporate features such as anti-skid flooring, smooth edge-free finishes and other safety measures suited to senior citizens. Select first-floor homes will also offer spacious private terraces. A 15,000-square-foot clubhouse with dedicated spaces for wellness, recreation, dining and social interaction will be a key attraction of the project.
Rajagopal G., Co-Founder, Director and Group CEO of Lifebridge Group, said Mysuru is emerging as a preferred destination for senior living because of its strong healthcare ecosystem, modern infrastructure, green spaces and peaceful lifestyle. He said today's senior citizens seek not only a home but also access to preventive wellness, round-the-clock professional care and medical support that enables them to live independently with dignity and confidence.
Astor Managing Partner C. R. Hanumanth said the city is witnessing increasing demand for professionally managed senior living communities, particularly from families whose children live abroad or in major metropolitan cities. He said the partnership combines Astor's trusted presence in Mysuru with Serene Communities' operational expertise to provide a maintenance-free, secure and comfortable lifestyle for senior residents.
The launch of Serene Sagara reflects the growing demand across India for purpose-built senior living communities offering independent, safe and professionally managed retirement living.
