The Madras Export Processing Zone (MEPZ) Special Economic Zone Authority, under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, in association with the MEPZ Manufacturers’ Association (MEPZMA), Rela Hospital, and Dr. Agarwal’s Eye Hospital, inaugurated its month-long 4th Annual Health Camp on July 6, 2026. Running until August 5, 2026, the free camp aims to provide comprehensive health screening to all 35,000+  employees within the ecosystem. The inauguration was attended by senior officials from MEPZ, representatives of MEPZMA, Rela Hospital, and Dr. Agarwal’s Eye Hospital, along with employees from units operating within the Zone.

Inaugurating the event, C. Arthur Worchuiyo, Joint Development Commissioner, MEPZ-SEZ, highlighted the addition of Liver Screening this year to expand preventive care. Representatives noted that last year's camp benefited nearly 10,000 employees, resulting in 583 treatment referrals and 20 subsidized cataract surgeries.

Key new features include an Organ Donation Awareness and Registration Camp, alongside the designation of Saturdays as 'Family Health Days' to extend free screenings to employees' families.
