Sivagangai Archers Win 10 Medals at National Under-19 Archery Championship

Archers from Sivaganga district delivered an outstanding performance at the National Under-19 Archery Championship held in Goa, winning a total of 10 medals—five gold, four silver, and one bronze.


The championship was held from June 27 to 29, with participants from 13 states, including Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Maharashtra. The impressive medal haul by the Sivaganga archers helped the Tamil Nadu team secure the overall second place in the tournament.


According to the team's coach, this remarkable achievement has also earned the athletes an opportunity to represent India at the upcoming International Archery Championship in Nepal.


The medal-winning archers received a warm welcome upon their arrival in Sivaganga today. Local dignitaries, fellow sportspersons, parents, and sports enthusiasts felicitated them by presenting garlands and ceremonial shawls, congratulating them on their outstanding achievement and wishing them success in future competitions.
