At the conference, Fr. Jagath Gaspar Raj, Founder of CTACIS and The Rise, officially announced "Tamizhoor", a landmark integrated development initiative focused on the economic advancement of Tamils, nature-centric living, and sustainable development. The announcement received an overwhelming response from entrepreneurs, investors, and members of the global Tamil community attending the conference.
The Tamizhoor project, to be developed across 311 acres at the foothills of the Pothigai Hills in the Western Ghats in Tenkasi district, will feature a wide range of integrated facilities. These include an Agriculture Experience Village, Agri-Tourism Centre, Siddha, Ayurveda and Naturopathy Wellness Centre, Work From Farm co-working spaces, Pothigai Tourism Facilitation Centre, a five-star rural resort, an agriculture-based MSME hub, an AI-powered farm management company, and farm villas, among several other planned amenities.
Fr. Jagath Gaspar Raj said that the Tamizhoor project will serve as a new development model integrating nature, agriculture, tourism, entrepreneurship, and investments from the global Tamil community. He added that the initiative will be implemented with the vision of transforming the Pothigai region into a world-class agriculture and tourism destination.
Following the announcement of the Tamizhoor project, several entrepreneurs expressed keen interest in investing in the initiative and said they believe it will emerge as a pioneering model for Tamil Nadu's future development.
