The Shri Ram Universal School (TSUS), Perambur, has announced the launch of KATHAA, a unique experiential learning initiative that celebrates India's rich storytelling traditions while fostering creativity, imagination, and family learning for students from Grades 1 to 5. The school has also introduced Assemble for Grades 1 to 5 and Robotics for Grades C to 12, reinforcing its commitment to experiential, future-focused education.
Alongside KATHAA, the introduction of Assemble for students in Grades 1 to 5 provides children with hands-on STEM experiences that nurture critical thinking, creativity, design thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving from an early age. For students in Grades C to 12, the newly introduced Robotics programme equips learners with practical skills to prepare them for an increasingly technology-driven future.
The KATHAA Launch Festival welcomed students and parents for an engaging day of storytelling, interactive workshops, and collaborative experiences that reinforced the school's commitment to holistic learning. Families also participated in a range of engaging experiences, including a Comic Colouring Workshop, creative challenges, and activity zones designed to spark imagination, collaboration, and joyful learning.
Nearly 500 students and parents participated across the festival's morning and afternoon sessions, creating a vibrant community experience where learning extended beyond the classroom.
Speaking about the initiative, Mr. Husien Dohadwalla, Board Member, The Shri Ram Universal School, Perambur, said: "At The Shri Ram Universal School, we believe the strongest learning happens through interaction, exploration, and hands-on experiences. KATHAA inspires young learners to explore ideas through stories, while Assemble encourages them to think, build, and solve creatively. As students grow, our Robotics programme equips them with the technical skills, confidence, and innovative mindset needed for the future. Together, these initiatives nurture creativity, critical thinking, and holistic development, while building strong academic foundations."
Every participating child also received an Amar Chitra Katha comic, encouraging them to continue their reading journey beyond the event. With the launch of KATHAA, Assemble, and Robotics, The Shri Ram Universal School, Perambur reaffirms its commitment to delivering an education that balances academic excellence with creativity, innovation, and experiential learning, empowering every student with the skills and confidence to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.
