The Collector began his visit at Kamalapuram Panchayat, where he inspected a seed processing unit with a warehouse established by the Thoothukudi Pulse Producers Company Ltd. He also reviewed pulse value-addition activities and a modern solar dryer with a capacity of 1,000 kg. During the visit, he examined the farmer identity card registration process, the functioning of the Assistant Director of Agriculture office at the regulated market, the availability of fertilizers and black gram seeds, chilli processing activities and a farm pond developed for farmers at Keezhavilathikulam.
Later, Mahajan inspected the ongoing training programme for field enumerators engaged in the 2027 Population Census at Arthi Mahal in Vilathikulam. At the Panchayat Union Primary School Anganwadi Centre, he reviewed the quality of food served to children, along with their height, weight and attendance records.
The Collector also visited tailoring and garment production units run by women Self-Help Groups with support from the HCL Foundation under the Tamil Nadu Rural Livelihood Mission at Vilvamarathupatti. He distributed bank loan assistance worth ₹2.80 lakh to members of the Thamarai Women Self-Help Group.
Further inspections included basket-weaving units at K. Sundareswarapuram and a livelihood improvement project at Poosanur, where 15 farmers were provided milch cows with HCL Foundation support.
At Vilvamarathupatti, the Collector inspected the ₹50 lakh canal construction leading to Keezhpadi tank under the Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme and instructed officials to ensure the project is completed quickly without compromising quality. Senior agriculture and local body officials accompanied him during the inspection.
