The Collector reviewed the Cauvery Combined Drinking Water Supply Scheme, constructed at a cost of Rs.118.78 crore in the Agricultural Regulated Market area of Oddanchatram Municipality. She also inspected the process of identifying suitable locations for establishing a Knowledge Centre at Kasturi Reddiar Government Higher Secondary School and Gandhi Nagar. During her visit to the school, she assessed the availability of basic amenities, including drinking water and sanitation facilities.
As part of the observance of World Population Day, the Collector visited speech and essay competitions organised for students under the Integrated School Education Department. She also inspected a school readiness training programme for children with disabilities at the Block Resource Centre.
At the fair price shop in Kurinji Nagar, she verified the distribution and stock position of ration commodities, maintenance of records, and the functioning of electronic point-of-sale and weighing machines. She also reviewed the civic amenities created for farmers, traders and the public at the Gandhi Market in Thangachiammapatti Panchayat.
In Viruppatchi Panchayat, the Collector inspected 80 houses constructed under the Sri Lankan Refugee Camp Housing Scheme at a cost of Rs.5.50 crore. At the Panchayat Union Middle School in Veeralapatti, she reviewed the construction of two additional classrooms worth Rs.36 lakh under the Child-Friendly School Infrastructure Development Scheme and inspected the quality and freshness of the midday meal served to students.
The Collector further inspected a NABARD-funded road improvement project worth Rs.70.68 lakh connecting Rettiyapatti to Sathirapatti 19 Pudur. At Sathirapatti, she interacted with a farmer implementing drip irrigation for vegetable cultivation under a Rs.1.79 lakh scheme and reviewed subsidy benefits. She also inspected the construction of 30 houses under the Kalaignar Kanavu Illam Scheme, being executed at a cost of Rs.1.059 crore, before directing officials to expedite all ongoing projects for public use.
