The Tamil Nadu Government has increased the milk procurement price from ₹38 to ₹41 per litre, with the aim of supporting dairy farmers and milk producers in the State, MLA R.T. Kanimozhi Santhosh said.

The price hike has been announced considering the rising expenses faced by farmers engaged in milk production and to ensure due recognition for their hard work.

The ₹3-per-litre increase will provide additional income to milk producers and help improve their livelihoods. The move is also expected to encourage milk production and strengthen the rural economy.

Welcoming the announcement, Goundampalayam MLA R.T. Kanimozhi Santhosh said the decision would provide greater financial support and renewed confidence to farmers and milk producers.

“The increase in procurement price recognises the hard work of farmers and will provide them with additional income while bringing new hope to their livelihoods. We will continue to raise our voice and work for the welfare of farmers and milk producers,” she said.
