The first satellite medical centre of VGM Hospital, Coimbatore, “Kovai VGM Multispecialty Center,” was grandly inaugurated in Gobichettipalayam on Sunday, August 23, 2026.


The new Gobichettipalayam branch of VGM Hospital, Coimbatore, was inaugurated by Hon’ble Minister for Revenue and Disaster Management, Government of Tamil Nadu, Mr. K. A. Sengottaiyan, who also delivered a special address.


Mr. AKS K. Shanmugasundaram, Past District Governor, Rotary District 3203, participated as the special guest and delivered the felicitation address.


The new multispecialty centre has been established with the objective of bringing world-class, high-quality medical services closer to the people of Gobichettipalayam and the surrounding areas, enabling them to access specialized medical consultations and treatments within their locality.


Dr. V.G. Mohan Prasad, Founder and Chairman of VGM Hospital, has been providing dedicated medical care and contributing to social welfare activities for the past 39 years, with special expertise in hepatology and gastroenterology.


Under his leadership, VGM Hospital has been delivering high-quality healthcare through advanced medical technology, experienced medical professionals and patient-centric treatment approaches to people in Coimbatore and the surrounding regions.
