In a major push toward sustainable energy logistics and reduced carbon emissions, V. C. Asokan, Executive Director, Southern Region & State Head, Tamil Nadu State Office, along with M. B. Manohar Roy, Chief General Manager (LPG), Tamil Nadu State office, officially flagged off Electric Vehicles (EVs) for last-mile LPG cylinder distribution across the Trichy Division.
The eco-friendly deployment is part of IndianOil’s broader "Greener India" initiative to modernize doorstep fuel distribution. The newly inducted electric three-wheeler cargo fleet has been procured through M/s TVS Motor Company under IndianOil’s Non-Fuel Revenue (NFR) strategic tie-ups.
This launch in Thanjavur marks the expansion of IndianOil’s eco-friendly fleet.
Speaking at the launch, IndianOil officials emphasized that transitioning to electric mobility for doorstep cylinder delivery supports both the Government of India’s clean energy goals and IndianOil's commitment to net-zero operational emissions. Earlier, similar Electric Vehicles were introduced in Coimbatore and Madurai.
