Karur Vysya Bank (KVP) has opened 16 new branches in a single day to expand its service footprint. The bank’s Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Ramesh Babu, inaugurated the new branch in Kachibowli, Hyderabad; the remaining branches were inaugurated through video conferencing. With this, the total number of branches of the bank has increased to 919.
The bank has opened 6 new branches focusing on major commercial, industrial and rural centres in its home state of Tamil Nadu. They are: Chennai (Thirumangalam), Erode (Sithode), Sivaganga, Kanchipuram (Sevilimedu) and Salem (Ammapettai, Jagir Ammapalayam).
Speaking about the expansion, Mr. Ramesh Babu said, “This expansion in Tamil Nadu will greatly help in providing tailored financial solutions to local customers, MSMEs and the agriculture sector.”
KVB Bank has recorded strong growth in recent financial activities. As on June 30, 2026, the bank’s total business reached ₹2,27,267 crore. Moreover, the bank has recorded an all-time high net profit of ₹756 crore in the first quarter of the current financial year (Q1FY27). KVB, which was established in 1916, continues to enhance its services with 2,169 ATMs and the ‘KVB DLite’ mobile app.
