Social Welfare and Women’s Rights Minister K. Jagadeeswari is campaigning in the Dharapuram Assembly constituency in support of TVK candidate P. Sathyabama. During the campaign, women welcomed Minister Jagadeeswari enthusiastically by performing traditional aarti.
Accompanied by TVK party functionaries and cadres, Minister K. Jagadeeswari campaigned in areas including Sitharavuthanpaliyam, Goundachipudur and Ammapatti. During the campaign, she interacted with women in the locality.
Addressing the women, the Minister said that the economic advancement of women forms the foundation for the progress of families and that the government under the leadership of Chief Minister Vijay has been continuously taking initiatives in this regard.
She assured that women’s self-help groups would be further strengthened, initiatives would be launched to create online markets for products made by women in Dharapuram, and training and technological assistance would be provided to women entrepreneurs.
She further stated that steps would be taken to provide the necessary support for girl students to continue their education and to ensure that government assistance reaches women heading families independently with greater ease.
The women of Dharapuram welcomed and congratulated Minister K. Jagadeeswari for making several assurances for the welfare and advancement of women.
