SBI Card, India’s largest pure-play credit card issuer, has introduced its secured Advantage SBI Card on SBI YONO, enabling customers with an SBI fixed deposit to access credit cards through a seamless and completely paperless digital journey.
The new digital journey was inaugurated by Challa Sreenivasulu Setty, Chairman, State Bank of India (SBI), in the presence of Ashwini Kumar Tewari, Managing Director, SBI, and Salila Pande, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, SBI Card.
Through SBI YONO, customers can apply for four secured Advantage SBI Card variants — SBI Card ELITE, SBI Card PRIME, SimplyCLICK SBI Card and SimplySAVE SBI Card. The offering combines the security of a fixed deposit with the convenience and benefits associated with credit cards.
The digital process is designed to simplify access to secured credit by eliminating paperwork and enabling customers to complete their application journey digitally. It also provides customers with greater flexibility to select a card proposition aligned with their requirements.
Salila Pande, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, SBI Card, said the new digital journey will make secured credit cards more accessible and convenient for customers. She highlighted that the 100% paperless process enables customers to access a secured credit card backed by a fixed deposit within minutes.
The initiative also supports customers who are looking to establish or strengthen their credit profile. By leveraging SBI’s extensive reach and YONO’s digital capabilities, SBI Card aims to simplify access to formal credit while enhancing everyday financial experiences through technology-led solutions.
