KONE has inaugurated its first Digital Experience Centre (DEC) in India in Pune, strengthening its focus on digital innovation and technology-led customer experiences in the elevator and escalator industry.
The Centre was inaugurated by Jussi Herlin, Executive Vice Chair, KONE; Philippe Delorme, President and CEO, KONE; and Nandan Nilekani, Co-founder and Chairman of the Board, Infosys. It has been designed to help customers understand and experience how digital technologies are transforming building operations and the future of People Flow™.
Bringing together KONE’s business, technology and engineering expertise, the Centre showcases the role of digitalisation, connectivity, artificial intelligence (AI) and data-driven insights across the building lifecycle. Its interactive experiences cover elevator design and configuration, digital interfaces, project visibility and real-time service information, enabling customers to explore technology-led solutions at different stages of a building’s lifecycle.
KONE Studio allows customers to explore and configure elevator solutions digitally, while MyKONE provides visibility into projects, equipment and services. E-Link enables real-time monitoring of equipment status and operations, helping support proactive management. The customer-centric Service Dashboard brings together important service and operational insights, offering a consolidated view of equipment performance.
Philippe Delorme, President and CEO, KONE, said the Centre would allow customers to experience how digitalisation, connectivity and AI are shaping the future of People Flow. He highlighted India’s importance to KONE and said the initiative would bring innovation closer to customers.
Amit Gossain, Managing Director, KONE India, said the inauguration marked a significant step in the company’s digital transformation journey and its commitment to delivering enhanced customer experiences through technology, data and innovation. He added that KONE was focused on using digital capabilities to make increasingly connected buildings more responsive, efficient and sustainable.
