StartupTN, in association with the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and Business Studio, Madurai Chamber of Commerce & Industry, organised an awareness session on “Unlocking Growth Capital Through SME IPO” to familiarise Madurai-based industries and entrepreneurs with opportunities to raise growth capital through the capital markets.
The session was inaugurated by Dr. N. Jegadeesan, President, Madurai Chamber of Commerce & Industry, and led by Mr. Senthilmurugan R, Chief Manager, National Stock Exchange (NSE). The session provided participants with insights into the SME IPO ecosystem, eligibility criteria, listing process, fundraising opportunities and the role of public markets in supporting business growth. Mr. S.P. Varatharajan, Managing Director, PSY Group of Institutions also addressed the gathering.
Several leading industries and entrepreneurs from Madurai attended the session and engaged in discussions on accessing growth capital, preparing businesses for the capital market and exploring SME IPOs as an avenue for expansion.
The session highlighted the potential of SME IPOs to provide growth-oriented enterprises with access to capital beyond traditional financing avenues, enabling them to expand operations, invest in technology, strengthen their businesses and explore new markets.
The initiative is aimed at encouraging Madurai-based enterprises to explore capital-market opportunities and build businesses with the potential to scale from the regional level to national and wider markets.
