Annamalai University celebrated the 77th Independence Day on 15.08.2023. Prof. RM. Kathiresan Ph.D., D.Sc., Vice-Chancellor hoisted the Indian National Flag at 09.15 a.m. and acknowledged the Guard of Honour rendered by the N.C.C. and delivered Independence Day speech.
In his Independence Day speech, the Vice-Chancellor paid his respects to the freedom fighters and proudly cited the significant achievements made by India in various fields. He requested everyone to stay united and diligently work for the growth of the country.
A Cultural Programme performed by the University students was held in a fitting manner. In the celebrations, Prof. R. Singaravel, Registrar i/c, Syndicate, Academic Council Members, Directors of Offices, Deans of Faculties, Heads of Departments, Deputy Directors, Teachers, Assistant Registrars, Section Officers, Staff, Representatives of Pensioners Associations, P.S to Vice-Chancellor, Public Relations Officer and students were present.
