The Department of Social Work, Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD), Sriperumbudur officially inaugurated the 8 days Rural Camp (11th August-18th August 2023) at Anaikattaputhur village of Ranipet District.
During the inauguration, Head of Department Dr. S. Kumaravel delivered the welcome address on the occasion, explained the core objectives of Rural Camp in Social Work. He thanked the Representatives of Village Panchayat and Staff of the School for smooth conduct of the camp.
On the Occasion of International Youth Day on 12 August 2023, Dr. Rambabu Botcha, Assistant Professor, RGNIYD enlightened the gathering on the importance of youth engagement in community. He quoted “The children of today are the future of tomorrow”. The theme of the Year 2023: “Green Skills for Sustainable World” was highlighted by him.
Mr Mohan delivered the inaugural address. In his inaugural Address he expressed his happiness in welcoming all 34 students and faculty members to the village. He offered his best wishes and accorded his support for the next 8 days to successfully conduct the camp.
Ms Concelia, Headmistress delivered special address on the occasion. In her special address, she assured full support from the school to the department for successful conduct of camp. At the end, Mr. Mohan, Ms. Concelia and Mr. Venkidachalam were felicitated with memento as a token of gratitude by the Head of Department, Department of Social Work, RGNIYD.
Ms. Indhu Priyadarshini presented the detailed programme schedule of the camp and Mr. Mishal KV proposed Vote of Thanks.
