The 26th convocation ceremony was held yesterday at Kongu College of Arts and Sciences, Nanjanapuram, Erode. Go to the ceremony R. Kumaraswamy, President of Velalar Technical College Foundation, presided. Secretary P. Sathyamurthy, Treasurer K. V. Ravishankar, Rector of Kongu College of Arts and Sciences P. D. Thangavel took the lead.
The Controller of Examinations of Coimbatore Bharatiyar University Prof. Dr. N. Ponbandian attended the function as the special invitee and honored a total of 1,493 students, including 77 who were placed in the university rankings. Further, N. Ponbandian spoke at the function and said, “The future of India is in the hands of the students. Graduate students should work to make their education useful to the society. "One should develop individuality while studying in college," he said.
