Pushkaram College of Agricultural Sciences and the Tamil Nadu Science Movement jointly organised Ninth National Conference on "How to Overcome Problems in Agricultural Production Due to Environmental Impact" at Pushkaram College of Agricultural Sciences.
The event was presided over by Dr. R. Rajkumar, Principal Scientist, MS Swaminathan Research Institute. M. Mohammad Abdullah, Member of Parliament, and Dr. V. Thiruvalluvan, Vice-Chancellor, Tamil University, Thanjavur, were the special guests.
Dr. S. Raguraman, Principal, Pushkaram College of Agricultural Sciences, welcomed everyone. 120 research papers from various agricultural colleges and universities on how environmental impacts affect agriculture and how these impacts can be addressed were presented at the conference.
Dr. A. Velayutham, Principal, Dr. MS Swaminathan Agriculture and Research Institute, concluded the conference. Dr. S. Selva Anbarasu, Conference Organising Secretary, proposed a vote of thanks.
