Gearing up for Mahashivratri, the Adiyogi Ratham that departed from Coimbatore has now reached Madurai. This chariot will be making its way through various parts of the city until the 26th.

The Mahashivaratri festival is celebrated every year on a large scale at the Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore. As part of the festivities, the Then Kailaya Bakthi Peravai organizes the Adiyogi Ratha Yatra annually to invite devotees to the Mahashivaratri festival. This year, the Yatra began from Coimbatore on January 5th with four Adiyogi Rathams

The Adiyogi Ratham traveled through several towns and arrived in Madurai on the night of the 21st. The Rath is set to move through Thiruparankundram, Arappalayam, Tirumangalam, Koodal Nagar, Alanganallur, Azhagar Kovil, Mattuthavani, B.B. Kulam, Masi Road, and Teppakulam until the 26th.

The Ratha Yatra is a wonderful opportunity for those who are unable to visit Adiyogi in Coimbatore to receive his blessings in their own towns.

After Madurai, the Ratham will proceed to Virudhunagar, Srivilliputhur, Rajapalayam, and Tirunelveli.

The four chariots that set out from Coimbatore will travel in different directions and eventually converge at the Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore on Mahashivratri, after covering all the districts of Tamil Nadu. It is remarkable that these chariots, carrying the Adiyogi Thirumeni, will cover a distance of about 35,000 km across Tamil Nadu. This year, the Mahashivaratri festival will be held in Madurai, involving public participation.
