Meenakshi Hospital, Thanjavur, the largest multispecialty hospital in the delta region, has hosted an Iftar party, featuring the sunset meals with which Muslims end their fast during Ramadan. The hospital is organising the celebration for the twelth time with the objective of promoting communal harmony in the region.
The event has attracted the participation of over a thousand people and leaders from different religions. The hospital issued the healthcaring privilege cards to all the participants that entitles them to special discounts on healthcare services at the hospital.
Mr. Mohammed Rafi, Proprietor, Maharaja Silks & Mahal, was the Chief guest of the event, which was also attended by several prominent Hindu and Christian leaders. Rev. Jaccob Jeyaraj, Pastor, Indian Evangelical Lutheran Church Thanjavur, Mr. Manivasagam, PRO delivered special addresses. Mr. Almas Ali, Retired DSP, and Mr. Sharputheen, Proprietor, Meera Bus, were among the dignitaries who attended the event.
Earlier, Dr. Balamurugan, General Manager-Operations,Meenakshi Hospital, Thanjavur welcomed the gathering. Mr. Sivakumar, General Manager - Marketing, issued the special healthcaring privilege cards to the participants., Mr. Haja Najumudeen, Senior Manager- Internal Audit, Meenakshi Hospital proposed a vote of thanks.
