The Space Science Camp, organized by the Voice of Tenkasi Foundation for the first time in Sankaran Koil, Tenkasi district, at AVK international school, commenced with enthusiastic participation from 200 students.
The Voice of Tenkasi Foundation continues to engage in various community activities and initiatives aimed at benefiting students. The founder, Anandhan Ayasamy, is committed to making Tenkasi district the top district in education in India. With this vision, he organized a two-day Space Science Camp to help students go beyond traditional classroom learning and explore scientific knowledge.
The camp was inaugurated by V. R. Subramanian, the Director of Nellai Dinamalar, who participated as a special guest and congratulated the students. Anandhan Ayasamy, the founder of the Voice of Tenkasi Foundation, presided over the camp and expressed his delight at the enthusiastic turnout. He stated, "I am very happy to see so many students attending this camp. I believe this camp will significantly help increase interest in space science among our students. It is essential for students to understand space science as there are numerous connections between science and everyday life. Many experts are here to teach you, and we are ready to continue organizing such camps to provide training. We aim to bring Tenkasi district to the top in education, and this camp should be the first step toward that goal."
The camp included sessions on space-related research, celestial spheres, spacecraft, and the importance of space exploration. Various activities were conducted, including games related to space science, practical demonstrations, and discussions. There was also an event where students used telescopes to observe celestial bodies at night.
Speakers included Ramesh, Principal of Sadhana School in Kadaiyanallur and head of the Tenkasi Science Center, as well as Dr. Muthukumaran and Lenin from the Tirunelveli District Science Center, along with Dr. Suppaiya Pandian, Vinnarasu, and Dr. Muthusamy, who shared insights on space science with the students.
