One such delightful yearly festive celebration in November is the Fruit Mixing Ceremony, which signifies the start of the Christmas season.
The grand ‘Fruit Mixing Ceremony’ held on 13th November 2024 celebrated with pomp and pageant in the august presence of renowned Chefs like Mr. Venkatesh Reddy – Hotel Consultant, Chef Koushik – Food Consultant, Chef. This is a splendid ceremony where an assortment of dried fruits, nuts, and spices are immersed in a rich blend of spirits, which will subsequently be utilised after a month to create the delectable Christmas cakes. The tradition of mixing these fruits at least two months before Christmas allows time for the ingredients to age and improve in flavour. This timeless tradition is believed to usher in positive fortunes for the upcoming year. Participants often make wishes as they stir the mixture, with the act of mixing representing the blending of love, happiness, and unity. It is a moment to express gratitude and hopes for the future and IHM Chennai joyfully honours this by welcoming guests from diverse backgrounds. The fruit mixing ceremony is a cherished ritual that combines tradition, togetherness, and anticipation of the Christmas season, enhancing the joy of team spirit.
