Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli (IIM Trichy) celebrated the 76th Republic Day on 26th January 2025 with great enthusiasm and reverence. The celebration was attended by students, faculty, staff, and their family members, reflecting the spirit of unity and national pride. The event began with the unfurling of the National Flag by the Director, Dr. Pawan Kumar Singh, followed by the National Anthem—a ceremonial march passed by the campus security guards added to the grandeur of the occasion.

In his Republic Day address, Dr. Pawan Kumar Singh highlighted the significance of India’s Constitution and the journey of becoming a Republic. He paid tribute to the known and unsung heroes of the freedom struggle, reflecting on contributions from figures like Sepoy Mangal Pandey and the Indian National Army (INA) under Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Dr. Singh emphasized the importance of remembering those who laid the foundations of the Republic, including lesser-known freedom movements. He also underlined the management lessons that can be drawn from the Constituent Assembly, such as the importance of collaboration, tolerance, and respecting diverse opinions. Dr. Singh concluded by urging everyone to approach challenges with originality and a global perspective while maintaining gratitude for the nation’s armed forces and their unwavering dedication.

Following the address, the support staff of the Institute, including members of the housekeeping, security, and gardening teams, were recognized for their dedication with trophies and certificates of appreciation.

The celebrations continued with cultural festivities organized by the students and family members of the faculty, featuring vibrant performances that showcased creativity and unity. The event culminated in a captivating performance by the talent management club, Rangmanch, inspiring and energizing the audience. The event concluded with the distribution of light refreshments for the attendees.
