The annual day celebrations at T.Puduppatti Government Primary School in Thirupathur, Sivagangai district, were held with great enthusiasm. District Education Officer Senthilkumar presided over the event, with Assistant Headmaster V. Oviyam and 2nd Ward Councillor C. Nehru in attendance. The school's Headmaster, S. Thirumamani, presented the annual report, while teacher S. Pramila delivered the welcome address.
Special guests included Thirupathur Municipality Chairman Gokilarani and Block Education Officer Kumar, who were honored by the school. The District Education Officer and other dignitaries spoke about the school's achievements, the dedication of teachers, and the progress of former students.
The event featured cultural programs where students performed in the roles of Avvaiyar, Thiruvalluvar, Velu Nachiyar, nature elements like rivers and trees, and iconic figures such as Murugan and Bharathiyar. A unique courtroom drama, themed "The Five Elements on Trial," saw students portraying Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Space, raising awareness about environmental issues and human responsibility for natural disasters.
A folk music performance (Villupattu) highlighted the benefits of government schools and various educational schemes introduced by the Tamil Nadu government. Students sang about reducing the preference for private schools and increasing trust in government schools.
A touching monologue on the struggles of farmers resonated with the audience. The program also included Bharatanatyam, group and solo dances, folk songs, and Karuppar dance, captivating both the public and special guests.
Teachers Kanakaseela and Sheeba Vinnarasi coordinated the cultural performances. Sports and cultural event participants received prizes, distributed by Thirupathur Municipality Vice Chairman Khan Mohamed. Thirukkural books were gifted to students. Teachers Uma Maheswari, Noor Nishabegam, and Radhamani, along with students, helped organize the event.
Parents, relatives, locals, youth, PTA members, school management representatives, volunteers, and former students attended in large numbers, cheering on the students and enjoying the performances.
