The Central Board of Direct Taxes, New Delhi organised ALL INDIA BADMINTON TOURNMENT CHENNAI 2025 on 28th February, 2025 & 1st March, 2025 at Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium, Chennai.
The tournament was inaugurated on 28th February, 2025 by Chief Guest Shri. Ruturaj Gaikwad, Captain of “Chennai Super Kings” IPL team in the presence of Dr. Sudhakara Rao, IRS, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Chennai. Senior Officers and Officials of the Income Tax Department from Income Tax Department, Tamil Nadu & Puducherry region and all over India witnessed the event.
The Badminton tournament was conducted for various ages for both Men and Women in 25 categories and around 200 officers/officials of the Income Tax Department from all over India participated in the Badminton Tournament.
The tournament was concluded with the closing ceremony on 01st March, 2025 in the august presence of Dr. Sudhakara Rao, IRS, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, Chennai and the Chief Guest Shri. Viswanathan Anand, World Chess Champion & Deputy President of International Chess Federation (FIDE). The Chief Guest Shri. Viswanathan Anand, addressed the gathering and congratulated the winners and the participants of the Badminton tournament. Prizes and Awards to the winners of various categories were distributed by the dignitaries.
The participants provided their valuable feedback on the event. The function concluded with the vote of thanks and National Anthem.
