Cambridge Hits 1,000 Schools in South Asia, Fuels Innovation and Excellence

Cambridge University Press & Assessment has announced a major milestone—over 1,000 Cambridge International Schools across South Asia, with 800+ in India. From 894 schools in 2023–24, the count rose by 16% to 1,034 in 2024–25, with India accounting for 81% of new additions. The landmark 1,000th school is Bramhapriya World School, Pune.


53% of schools are in Tier 1 cities, but growth is strong in Tier 2 and 3 cities, particularly in South India, reflecting a wider adoption of international education. In 2024, a record number of students took Cambridge exams, and a third Checkpoint test series will launch in March 2026 for more scheduling flexibility.Students can choose from 70+ IGCSE and 50+ AS & A Level subjects, offering unmatched flexibility. Cambridge also introduced the Climate Quest programme in India, focusing on sustainability and student engagement.
