Office Bearers of CREDAI Coimbatore met the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru M.K. Stalin, at the Secretariat on 7.7.2025 and thanked him for releasing Coimbatore Master Plan - 2041.
Recently, the Tamil Nadu Housing and Urban Development Department released the Coimbatore Master Plan 2041. The Government has also simplified the procedures for getting approval. Tamil Nadu for the first time has introduced and implemented a self-certification scheme for getting online approval for residential construction up to 3,500 square feet on a plot of land with an area of maximum 2,500 square feet. This had considerably simplified the procedure and has benefited the common man.
A team of CREDAI Office Bearers including Mr. S.R. Arvind Kumar, President, Mr. Rajiv Ramasamy, Vice President, Mr. P. Karthik Kumar Treasurer, Mr. R. Chandramouli, Member, Thiru Gugan Illango, President elect CREDAI Tamil Nadu and Mr. N.K. Balachandran, General Manager met the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and expressed their sincere thanks.
Mr. S.R. Arvind Kumar, President, CREDAI, Coimbatore in a statement said that the people of Coimbatore had been waiting for 30 years for the new Master Plan and they are extremely glad that the Chief Minister has now released it. The Coimbatore Master Plan has been prepared in a meticulous manner keeping in mind the future development. Due to this, investments of Rs. 25,000 crores will be made in Coimbatore in the next 16 years and Rs. 35,000 crores will be invested through the Metro Rail project. Due to this, the Coimbatore region is going to witness rapid development.
The event was attended by Thiru. S. Muthusamy, the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Prohibition and Excise, Mrs. Kakarla Usha, I.A.S., Additional Chief Secretary, Housing and Urban Development, Mr. P. Ganesan, I.A.S., Director, Town and Country Planning, Office Bearers from Credai Chennai and other government officials.
