Land Rover has unleashed its boldest Defender yet with the debut of the Defender OCTA Black, a new flagship model that merges extreme off-road performance with a stealthy, all-black luxury aesthetic. With over 30 elements finished in Gloss and Satin Black, including Narvik Black bodywork and optional Matte Protective Film, this 4x4 makes a dramatic visual statement.

The Defender OCTA Black features high-end exterior detailing such as black quad exhaust tips, Satin Black recovery eyes, and 22-inch Gloss Black wheels with contrasting accents. Inside, luxury meets durability with the introduction of Ebony Semi-Aniline Leather and Kvadrat™, a first for Defender, along with new seat perforation and stitching patterns that emphasize rugged refinement.

Under the hood, the OCTA Black is powered by a 635PS 4.4-litre Twin Turbo mild-hybrid V8, paired with advanced 6D Dynamics suspension and a dedicated OCTA Mode for high-performance off-roading. It also incorporates Body and Soul Seats (BASS) developed with SUBPAC™, delivering a vibro-acoustic music experience powered by a 15-speaker Meridian™ system.

Mark Cameron, Managing Director of Defender, noted that the OCTA Black is a response to customer demand for an all-black, ultra-premium Defender. “We’ve taken tough luxury to the extreme by applying a dark, purposeful finish to every possible element,” he said.

In an added cultural twist, Defender continues its rock 'n’ roll journey as the official automotive partner of Oasis Live ’25, transporting the iconic band on their global 41-date tour kicking off today in the UK. Explore the new Defender range at www.landrover.com/defender.
