Perspectives and Expectations of Industrial Families

For the next stage of a family business's growth, a "Family Constitution" is essential. In this document, family members should create a written record of the responsibilities they will take on to improve the business.

Most family businesses fail because they do not have a proper "Success Plan," their next generation who join the business are not given proper responsibilities, and the necessary environment for the next generation to work is not created. Due to this, the next generation of most entrepreneurs are pushed into IT jobs, positions in large companies, or even abroad.

To take a business to the next level, it is very important to regularly check a "Dashboard." By checking it daily, entrepreneurs can understand where the problems lie in their business and identify the departments that need improvement. This also helps them make crucial decisions based on a large amount of data. All business owners should develop the habit of looking at their dashboard.

To take the industry in Madurai to the next level, it is crucial to convert the Madurai Airport into an International Airport. The CII has taken the lead in a movement called "New Madurai." All the associations in Madurai should support this. Two meetings have already been held by the CII in this regard. They have met with government officials in Chennai and political leaders in Madurai, who have also promised their full support.

It is disheartening that Madurai was not included in the list of 18 tourist destinations announced by the central government in India. All associations must make an effort to get Madurai on this list.

It is also sad that foreign investments have not come to any of the southern districts of Tamil Nadu on a large scale, except for Thoothukudi. He stated in his speech that all associations must work together to attract large companies and foreign investments to start businesses in the region.

Special prizes were distributed through a lucky draw during the event.

The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks from MADITSSIA Joint Secretary, Mr. L. Aravind. More than 350 people attended the event with their families and made it a success.
